Common faults and solutions of bucket garbage trucks

2025/04/11 13:58

Hanging bucket garbage trucks are commonly used for environmental sanitation garbage collection, and their common faults mainly focus on hydraulic systems, mechanical arms, electrical control, and operation and maintenance

Hydraulic system Failure:

1. Hydraulic system oil leakage

-Reason: Aging of seals, loose joints, worn or cracked oil pipes.

-Solution: Replace damaged sealing rings, tighten joints, inspect oil pipes and repair or replace them, regularly clean hydraulic oil filter cartridges.

2. Insufficient hydraulic power (slow or weak flipping/lifting)

-Reason: Insufficient hydraulic oil, oil pump malfunction, low pressure setting of safety valve, and internal leakage of oil cylinder.

-Solution: Supplement hydraulic oil, check if the oil pump of the garbage truck is running normally, recalibrate the safety valve pressure (requires professional tools), disassemble the oil cylinder and replace the seal.

3. Hydraulic cylinder jamming or abnormal noise

-Reason: Insufficient lubrication, scratches on the surface of the piston rod, and impurities entering the cylinder.

-Solution: Regularly apply lubricating grease, clean the piston rod and check for wear, and replace the oil cylinder if necessary.

Mechanical arm/flipping mechanism malfunction:

1. The robotic arm cannot move

-Reason: Hydraulic system malfunction (such as oil pump not starting), damage to control switches, mechanical component jamming (such as gear and chain jamming).

-Solution: First check if the hydraulic system is supplying pressure normally, check the control circuit and switch of the self loading and unloading garbage truck, manually rotate the robotic arm to confirm if it is stuck, clean up foreign objects and lubricate.

2. The trash can cannot be flipped in place or falls off

-Reason: Failure of limit switch, loosening of mechanical arm positioning bolt, wear and deformation of hook.

-Solution: Calibrate the position of the limit switch, tighten the connecting bolts, replace worn hooks or adjust the hook angle.

Electrical control system malfunction:

1. Operation button/remote control malfunction

-Reason: Poor circuit contact, blown fuse, control module malfunction, remote control battery dead.

-Solution: Check if the circuit connectors are loose, replace the fuse, test the control module signal output, and replace the remote control battery.

2. Automatic function failure (such as failure to detect trash cans)

-Reason: Loose sensor, dirty or damaged surface, open circuit in the circuit.

-Solution: Clean and fix the sensor, check if the sensor wiring is secure, and replace damaged sensors.

Chassis and general component failures:

1. Abnormal noise or inability to engage the power take-off

-Reason: Worn power take-off gears, insufficient lubrication, and damaged clutch plates (connecting the chassis engine and hydraulic pump).

-Solution: Add gear oil, check if the power take-off of the hydraulic lifter garbage truck is connected to the gearbox properly, and disassemble, repair or replace it if necessary.

2. Abnormal shaking or brake failure during driving

-Reason: uneven tire pressure, brake system oil leakage, or brake pad wear (similar to regular vehicles).

-Solution: Calibrate tire pressure, check brake fluid level and brake pad thickness, and replace and repair in a timely manner.

Improper operation or insufficient maintenance:

1. Overload causes system damage

-Reason: Loading overweight trash cans exceeds the rated load.

-Solution: Strictly follow the instructions for loading and avoid forced operations.

2. Loose bolts or accelerated wear of components

-Reason: Failure to regularly check for missing fasteners, lubrication, and maintenance.

-Solution: Check the key connection parts (such as the mechanical arm pin shaft and hydraulic pipeline interface) before daily homework, and add lubricating grease to the hanging bucket garbage truck periodically.
